  Funky little cafe on Nicolette/15th st. connected to the Nicolette Diner.  Short walk from the Millennium and Hyatt hotels.
  
  Great coffee and muffins tops.  Don't let the name fool you these are substantial size muffins just shaped a bit flat.  I had the Orange Blossom and it was tasty and filling.

  Walked in, kindly asked where the restroom was, waitress kindly directed me to restroom. Then went back to Cafe, and sat down at table in front of bar. Bartender never bothers to ask me if I wanted anything.
  
  Meanwhile, white woman gets seated at the table next to me, and within seconds, bartender asks if she wanted anything to drink.
  
  Mother. Fucking. Awesome.

  Consistently understaffed (I'm not even sure how they divide employees between the cafe and the diner), and a general vibe that I try to be charmed by, but end up feeling mildly grossed out by.
  
  If they want business - why not, you know, try?
  
  Edited to include: I have been here now for an hour, quietly working and drinking the coffee I purchased. I cannot tell who are employees and who are friends/regulars, but they have carried on very personal, loud and vulgar conversations. Once, after someone legit yelled, they turned around, looked at me, and said "Sorry, I forgot you were here."

  I really wanted to go to this cafe and do some studying, and wanted to make sure that it was an alright place to study, so I called and was greeted very rudely. As unexpected as this was, I let it go and asked if there was WiFi and if it was a good studying place. The guy I spoke to was so beyond rude to me, and treated me as if I was asking the dumbest questions. He was "man-splaining" everything to me, and when I said "thank you" for answering my questions, he promptly hung up on me. I had been planning to go - and now I won't. First impressions are so important.......
